Consequence of Defect

engine wiring harness may come in contact with the alternator housing. with normal engine movement over a period of time, the alternator housing could wear through the wire insulation of the harness.

Corrective Action

this could cause a short circuit which would affectengine operation by cutting off fuel delivery and which could result in anelectrical fire.

inspect and repair engine wiring harness.
