Consequence of Defect

vehicle description: sport utility vehicles. the power assisted steering pump pulley can fail resulting in a loss of steering power assist. if vehicle operation is continued, engine overheating/damage could result.

Corrective Action

the loss of steering assist could increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

Recall Notes

dealers will install a power steering pump/pulley assembly.
