Consequence of Defect

the bolts used to attach the rear bumper to the frame are defective because of a hydrogen embrittlement condition.

Corrective Action

the defective bolt heads could shear off afterinstallation and allow the bumper to fall off the trailer, resulting in a roadhazard and possible vehicle accident or personal injury.

Recall Notes

replace the defective bolts with new bolts.
