bentley is recalling 4 my 2004 and 2006 continental gt and continental flying spur vehicles. the replacement trimmed covers have been manufactured with tethers of an incorrect length.

Corrective Action

in the event of a crash, this could result in damage to the air bag itself during deployment increasing the risk of injuries.

Recall Notes

dealers will replace the passenger's air bag cover free of charge. the recall is expected to begin on or about february 22, 2008. owners may contact bentley at 248-754-6137.

Consequence of Defect

on certain passenger vehicles, there is the potential for insufficient clearance between a brake pipe and an engine mounted hose clip, which could eventually result in failure of the brake pipe.

Corrective Action

this failure could result in an increased stopping distance when braking increasing the risk of a crash and also a risk of fire due to brake fluid escaping into the engine compartment.

Recall Notes

dealers will inspect to ascertain the clearance between the brake pipe and hose clip and repair as necessary free of charge. the recall began on september 5, 2006. owners may contact bentley at 248-754-6137.
